Volunteers wanted by Churches Together at the Suffolk Show, Wednesday 1st and Thursday  2nd June 2016

Suffolk Show 2016
Volunteers are wanted to support the ministry of the Churches Together in Suffolk stand at the Suffolk Show (www.suffolkshow.co.uk), which is taking place on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd June at Trinity Park on the outskirts of Ipswich.

The Suffolk Churches Together tent will be providing:
-          Chaplaincy to the agricultural community,
-          Chaplaincy to the general public,
-          Creative engagement based on the ‘fruit of the spirit’ led by the Presence team (www.facebook.com/Presence-Faith-on-the-Street-458263437658658),
-          A quiet space,
-          Children’s activities,
-          Hospitality,
-          Information about the ministry of churches in Suffolk.

Suffolk Show 2016bWe are looking for 3 or 4 people on each of the two days to be part of a hospitality team who would be responsible for welcoming people into the tent, chatting to them and making refreshments as required. It would be great if alongside a gift of hospitality you were also involved in a church led activity that you would love to talk about. It might be parish nursing, foodbanks, credit unions, or countless other ways that Christians are serving our local communities. We would be happy for those involved to bring publicity material with them to put up or leave out in the tent. We’d like you to be around for the whole day, from 8am to 6pm, but you would get a free ticket and would have opportunities during the day to wander round and enjoy the show.

We are also looking for a few people to help with the setting up and taking down of the tent between 8am and 10am on Friday 27th May and on Friday 3rd June.

If you are unable to help in person we might still be able to include details about your church project. We plan to have a screen with rolling information, and if you want something to be included, please do contact us.

To get involved please contact: Julie Mansfield, jmmansfield@homecall.co.uk or 01394 384370
